PRACTICE ICE TIME - START

The ice at the Prince Albert Golf & Curling Club will be available for practice on Saturday October 4th, at 10:00 a.m. This is part of the open house. Bring your friends, family , etc and throw some rocks!!!

Leagues start on October 6th, 2008

September 24th = 4:00P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Sepember 25th = 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

Enter your team, or as an individual. We will find you a team.

USER GROUPS ANNUAL MEETINGS ARE SET

The 2008 - 2009 curling season is fast approaching!! The user groups at the Prince Albert Golf & Curling Club have set their annual meeting dates for the up comming season. Here are the following dates & times of the meetings. Everybody involved in these groups are asked to attend:

Afternoon / Senior Ladies = Tuesday, September 16th, 2008 = 1:00 P.M.

Senior Men = Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008 = 1:30 P.M.

Monday Business Ladies = Monday, September 29th, 2008 = 7:30 P.M.

Tuesday Econo Lumber Super League = Tuesday, September 30th, 2008 = 7:00 P.M.

JUNIOR WINS ANNUAL CITY OPEN

The 2008 edition of the City Open wrapped up on Monday at the Cooke Municipal Golf Course. It was a fantastic ending to a great weekend and season. Danny Klughart captured the title by defeating Colin Coben of Delisle on the 6th playoff hole finishing in the evening on a cool September day. Danny now joins David Stewart as the only 15 year olds to win the City Open tournament. The tournament was the last of the tournaments for the Cooke Municipal Golf Course.  This years City Open was another great event, the tournament was up in the amount of golfers with 105 Men and 12 women playing. Great job to all the players, John Foster and all the organizers for a successfull tournament. We look forward to next years season. Congratulations to Danny on winning, it is great to see the young players compete at such a high level.

LARGE AMOUNT OF PRINCE ALBERT PLAYERS COMPETE AT LADIES LOBSTICK

The 2008 edition of the annual Ladies Lobstick wrapped up on Friday, August 22nd, 2008 at the Waskesiu Golf Course. There was a strong amount of Prince Albert ladies competing in this years event. In the Ladies division, there were 21 competing and in the Senior Ladies division there were 11 competing. The Lobstick uses the match play format.

Here are the results of the Prince Albert ladies who played in their flight finals:

Ladies Division:

4th Flight Consolation Runner Up = Deb Thierman

2nd Flight Consolation Winner = Nadia Gisi

1st Flight Runner Up = Arlene Segin

Championship Flight = Pauline McDougall lost in the semi - final to winner, Kim Valleau

Senior Ladies Division

4th Flight Runner Up = Doreen Matheson

3rd Flight Runner Up = Carol Ring

1st Flight Consolation Runner Up = Rose Marie Phaneuf

1st Flight Runner Up = Norma Young

Championship Consolation Runner Up = Ann Mcleod
